Ather 450S Launched: Affordable Long-Range Electric Scooter for Indian Riders

Ather Energy has introduced the Ather 450S (3.7 kWh), a new addition to its electric scooter lineup, offering a balance of affordability, extended range, and sporty performance. Priced at ₹1,45,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the scooter boasts an IDC range of 161 km, making it suitable for long commutes. Bookings have begun, and deliveries will start in August 2025.

Key features include a 3.7 kWh battery, a 5.4 kW motor delivering 22 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 90 km/h. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.9 seconds and offers four ride modes – Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, and Sport – tailored for different needs. It is also equipped with a 7-inch DeepView display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.

Ather has integrated advanced safety features such as AutoHold, Fall Safe, and Emergency Stop Signal. The model is backed by the "Ather Eight70" warranty, covering 8 years or 80,000 km with a 70% battery health guarantee.

With pricing across cities ranging between ₹1.45 lakh and ₹1.48 lakh, and over 3,300 charging points under the Ather Grid, the 450S is set to strengthen Ather’s market presence among performance-driven yet cost-conscious EV buyers.
