Kia Syros EV Spy Shots Reveal Design Tweaks, Possible ADAS Features
Spy shots of Kia’s upcoming electric Syros SUV have surfaced, revealing several intriguing design and feature updates. Captured in a camouflaged test mule while charging at a public DC fast charger, the images—shared by Autospy—show that the SUV’s charging port is positioned on the front fender, unlike the Carens Clavis EV’s nose-mounted port. Close-up shots also suggest a potential second charging port on the opposite side.

While visually similar to its ICE version currently sold in India, the Syros EV incorporates distinct elements such as Lime Green brake callipers, typically seen on Kia’s GT models. The SUV features aero-optimised alloy wheels, disc brakes on both axles, and front and rear parking sensors—hinting at possible Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) integration.

Built on the K1 platform, shared with Hyundai’s Inster, Casper, and Exter models in global markets, the Syros EV will be front-wheel drive. It is expected to use Hyundai Inster’s 42kWh and 49kWh battery packs, with an estimated range of 300 km for the base variant and 355 km for the higher-spec model.

Kia has yet to announce an official launch date, but the sighting signals the SUV’s advanced testing stage ahead of its anticipated market debut.
